GRAMMY Entry #5: Sharing Family History
My grandson is 6, certainly old enough to appreciate a good story. And, he’s most likely old enough to appreciate hearing our family’s history. I love reading books to my grandchildren. It’s perfect one-on-one time. I also love to make up stories. So I started thinking… why not bring some of my memories and our family’s past to life for them? Why not become the story teller of our history? I don’t know why it hadn’t occurred to me before, but it hadn’t. At least it hadn’t occurred to me to tell our tales in an animated format. So, this is my plan… bring my memories (and family history) to life through story telling. Our family becomes the characters. Our history becomes the plot. We’ll see what happens. I’ll keep you posted. I’d love to hear how it works for you too.
